It's worth saying what these images can and can't tell you. A deck is drawn around the yard it sits in — your grade, your door height, how far it is to the ground and where the stairs can sensibly land all shape the result more than any style choice does. So treat these as a way to point at something and say that railing, or that colour, or that's the level change I've got. That conversation is where an estimate actually starts.

Are these your own projects?
Every photograph on this page is a VCHS job site. None of it is stock photography, and none of it is another contractor's work.
They're phone photos taken across several years by the crew, which is why they look like real job sites rather than a magazine shoot. We think that's the more useful thing to show you.
Can you build something like one of these at my house?
Almost always, though it's rarely a straight copy — your yard, your door height and your grade decide more about a deck than the photograph does. What travels between projects is the approach: the layout, the material, the railing style, the way the stairs land.
Bring us a photo you like. It's the fastest way to start an estimate, and it tells us more in ten seconds than a long description does.
Do you have photos of a project like mine?
Probably, and if it isn't here we can usually find one. We've built on sloped yards, around above-ground pools, tied into existing pool decks, and up two storeys off a walkout.
Call and describe your situation — it's quicker for us to point you at the closest match than for you to hunt through the grid.
How recent is this work?
It spans several years of jobs across the northland and the metro. We post recent finished work to our Facebook page as it comes off the schedule, which tends to be more current than any gallery page.
